Project Kuiper Launches Ahead

With a payload that’s integrated and processed at Amazon’s fully operational facility located on Florida’s Space Coast, the ULA launch of Atlas V Kuiper 1 is now set to launch on April 28.

Amazon’s Project Kuiper, which selected Florida's Space Coast in 2023, initially announced an investment of $120 million, a new 100,000 sq ft facility and up to 50 jobs with an average wage of $80,000. Within a year, Project Kuiper’s investment grew to nearly $140 million with the addition of a secondary 42,000 sq. ft. support facility. To ensure full scale deployment of the satellite constellation, Amazon’s Project Kuiper continues to invest in people and infrastructure improvements to increase the cadence for vertical launch at Cape Canaveral.  As one of only two selected sites for launch in the world, Florida’s Space Coast enables the deployment of Project Kuiper’s 3,200+ satellites. The Kuiper team continues to grow in support of the broadband satellite constellation and the mission to offer reliable, global connectivity to underserved communities around the globe.
